Test review 11/3/08

Menu bar is located at the very top of the page. It includes different sections such as file, edit, view, select, filter, windows and help.


Options bar is located under the menu bar.  It includes different shapes that gives you an opportunity to change your layer shapes.

The tool bar is located on the left hand side and it includes different shapes such as gradient, move and etc.. 

The Layers palette is located on the right hand side and it includes many categories. This section called the layers palette controls your layer and what you do to it.

Photoshop Tools

1. Marquee Tool: Rectangular, elliptical, single column, and single row are all marquees 

They are used to put a selection or marching ants around an image.

2. Move Tool: used to move a layer you can use the mouse or the arrow keys to move layers
 This tool is a black small mouse
3. Gradient Tool: used to create gradients. A gradient is a smooth transition from one color to another.
   This tool is that looks like a transition from one color to another
4. Paint Bucket Tool: This tool enables you to paint large areas at once 
     This tool looks just like paint bucket 
5. Horizontal Type Tool: This tool is used to put text into an image. 
   this tool is a upper case T
6. Vertical Type Tool: This tool is used to put text into an image. It will write vertical.
This tool looks a upper case T with an arrow going vertical next to it.
7. Custom Shape Tool: With this tool you can create a custom shape in your image. You can choose from standard or imported shapes.

1. What does DVD mean? Digital versatile disc.

How many DVD formats are available? There are 6 DVD formats available. They are DVD Video, DVD-ROM, DVD-R, DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, and DVD AUDIO.
2. What is a dingbat? A dingbat is special characters like stars, hands, arrows, and geometric shapes you can use to decorate a document. A collection of dingbats is found in a popular font called Wingdings.
3. What is a handshake? A handshake is two modems perform a handshake each time they meet, just as two people shake hands to greet each other. If the modem speaker is on, you can actually hear the handshake — it’s that annoying series of squeals and signals. The handshake helps the modems determine how they will exchange information.
4. What is a home page? A home page is an introductory screen on the World Wide Web, used to welcome visitors. A home page can include special underlined text or graphics you click on to jump to related information on other pages on the Web. 1. Three benefits that e-commerce offers are companies gathering data about the people who use the web and the other websites they visit, they discover or reveal something in their information and they display advertisements of the products the web users would most likely buy.
